Dolly invites families to crush the rush as she opens RiverRush, Tennessee’s first and only water coaster
Dolly asked if families were ready to crush the rush before launching RiverRush, Tennessee’s first and only water coaster, for the first time on May 10, 2013, at her Dollywood’s Splash Country waterpark. Dolly said,
“Growing up, playing in the creeks and streams here in the Smoky Mountains, I could only dream of something like a water coaster. But look at us now… not only does Dollywood’s Splash Country have Tennessee’s first and only water coaster, we’re making water run uphill in it!”
Dolly hosted media representatives from across the country to launch the 2013 season at the waterpark.

Prior to the opening of Dollywood’s Splash Country’s RiverRush, Tennessee’s first and only water coaster, Dolly appeared as grand marshal of the 2013 Dolly Homecoming Parade on the Parkway in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Standing atop the RiverRush float on a lifeguard stand, Dolly waved to thousands of people lining the streets during this annual event which serves as a welcome home to everyone’s favorite local girl.

On June 16, 2012, Dolly, dressed as “Splash Woman,” made everyone’s day as she announced RiverRush, Tennessee’s first and only water coaster, the latest addition to her waterpark, Dollywood’s Splash Country. This historic announcement came on the heels of Dollywood theme park’s opening of the celebrated Wild Eagle, America’s first winged coaster, marking two back-to-back history-making coasters for her Dollywood properties.

Dolly’s perfect mountain oasis, Dollywood’s Splash Country water park, opened May 26, 2012, for its 12th season for both thrill-seekers and pool loungers to escape the summer heat. The new season brought updates to Dollywood’s Splash Country Brush Fire Grill along with new Saturday morning exclusive ride times for season pass holders to experience their favorite slides before the park opened to the general public!
Located in a mountainous hollow adjacent to Dollywood theme park, Dollywood’s Splash Country features a variety of splashy water attractions for both thrill-seekers and pool-loungers.

Dolly kicks off the eleventh season of Dollywood’s Splash Country
Dolly believes in working hard and playing even harder and that includes at her 35-acre Smoky Mountain waterpark Dollywood’s Splash Country! The adventures began for an eleventh season as Dolly opened Dollywood’s Splash Country in 2011. New to the waterpark in 2011 were relaxing poolside massages offered to guests.
