Christmas at Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show puts a swashbuckling spin on the Charles Dickens classic “A Christmas Carol”

Beginning November 6, 2014, Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show takes audiences on an epic journey through time and tradition. Christmas at Pirates Voyage is a swashbuckling take on the Charles Dickens classic “A Christmas Carol!”

Captain Scrooge is visited by three Christmas spirits—one from his past, one from his present and another from his future. Together, the spirits show the captain the error of his ways, and he embraces the true spirit of the Christmas season. Captain Scrooge allows the Crimson and Emerald pirates to compete for the Christmas treasure. The finale is a true Christmas celebration, with treasure chests and trees coming out of the water and ornaments descending from the sky.

As the audience takes in Christmas at Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show, they are served a four-course holiday feast including our Voyager Creamy Vegetable Soup, Buccaneer Bread, Half O’ Roasted Cackler (Chicken), Captain’s BBQ Pork, Cob O’ Buttery Corn, Pirate Herb-Basted Potato, Apple O’ Me Eye Pie and unlimited Pepsi®, tea or coffee.

The 2014 Pirates Voyage season opened with all-new aerial and acrobatic acts and introduced Captain Blackbeard

Dolly’s Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show in Myrtle Beach, SC added to the action for its 2014 season. With the introduction of new characters, amplified acts and added action it is a thrill like never before and another reason it is called “The Most Fun Place to Eat” in Myrtle Beach.

In 2014, Dolly’s popular dinner and show introduced Captain Blackbeard, the most famous pirate to ever sail the Caribbean, and his quartermaster Calico Jack to the Pirates Voyage crew. Together, the two lead the Crimson and Sapphire pirates in battle on land, on deck, in water and high above the 15 foot deep indoor hideaway lagoon.

Right from the start, the 2014 season opened with a bang with gun fire, sword fights, explosions and high-flying action, which sets the stage for the adventure to come. Romance flared in a stunning, new aerial act as Captains Doubloon and Scarlett dance high above their ships. Then, in a moving act, the captains mesmerize guests as they meet in the middle of the lagoon and soar on silks with artistry and allure.

Excitement builds with another new acrobatic act featuring the ship mast. Pirate crews climb, slide down and pose on vertical poles as they prepare for their pirate feast.  The skill and bravery of the pirates have you on the edge of your seat. With nets full of treasure, gold coins, fountains of water and thrilling pyrotechnics, Pirates Voyage new finale is like nothing you have seen before.

Dolly greets a sold-out crowd on opening day at Pirates Voyage in Myrtle Beach, SC and is honored by the governor

Dolly’s Pirates Voyage in Myrtle Beach, SC opened to a sold-out crowd on, June 23, 2011. Dolly herself was there to welcome the hundreds of guests to her newest attraction. She was greeted by screams as she made her way to the Pirates Village stage.

In addition to members of the community, South Carolina Governor Alan Clemmons was there to welcome Dolly back to the Myrtle Beach area. Before the grand opening, Governor Clemmons presented Dolly with a proclamation from the South Carolina General Assembly naming that Friday as ”Dolly Parton Day” across the state.

In another interview, Dolly told reporters she could remember visiting Myrtle Beach as a child with her family. Dolly also told the crowd, she was very proud of her new show, saying,

“You know me. I’m kind of daring and adventurous, so I decided to change it up a bit.”

Gratefully accepting the honor, Dolly told the crowd that South Carolina was very near and dear to her heart, because her mother was born there and it felt like a second home to her.
