Dolly Parton Releases Her First Rock Album and 49th Solo Album, 'Rockstar'

Dolly Parton joined forces with some of Rock music’s most legendary artists along with today’s biggest stars for her first-ever Rock album, Rockstar. Inspired by her 2022 induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Dolly teamed up with an all-star roster of musicians for the 30-song collection which includes 9 original tracks and 21 iconic Rock anthems.

“I’m so excited to finally present my first Rock and Roll album Rockstar!" Dolly shared. "I am very honored and privileged to have worked with some of the greatest iconic singers and musicians of all time and to be able to sing all the iconic songs throughout the album was a joy beyond measure. I hope everybody enjoys the album as much as I’ve enjoyed putting it together!”

Dolly gave everyone a sneak peek of her Rockstar album with a premiere performance of the lead track from the album, "World On Fire," during the 58th Academy of Country Music Awards, which she co-hosted with Garth Brooks.

After a remarkable 55-year career in the music industry, Dolly achieved a significant milestone when "World on Fire" became her first release to hit a rock-themed chart. On May 20, 2023, the single entered Billboard's Rock Digital Song Sales at the impressive position of 13. Just one week later, it soared to the top, claiming the number 1 spot.
