Dolly's Dixie Stampede in Pigeon Forge invites all seniors to a special Senior Day dedicated to health and wellness. For one price, seniors attend a health and wellness fair, which includes complimentary health screenings such as sleep analysis, eyeglass cleanings and special offers from local retailers. Dolly said,
“We truly love everyone in our community. We want our seniors to stay healthy and active, and we want them to have some fun all at the same time! This gives them some great health information before they attend our dinner show and get to act like kids for a while!”
Seniors also get the opportunity to see Dolly's Dixie Belle Saloon Show and Dixie Stampede Main Show with a four-course feast.
Each year autumn drapes Dollywood—and the beautiful Smoky Mountains—in fall’s finest décor just in time for the National Southern Gospel & Harvest Celebration.
For 2013’s festival, Dolly said,
“There’s nothing quite like the sweet sound of Southern gospel music echoing through these gorgeous mountains this time of year during my National Southern Gospel & Harvest Celebration at Dollywood.”
The biggest names in Southern gospel music visited Dollywood and amazed guests with hundreds of concerts throughout the park during the celebration.
Dolly’s love for family time and summer time came to life with music and light as Dollywood’s Great American Summer debuted in 2013. Special extended park hours from 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. gave families more time to spend together as they enjoyed Dollywood’s rides and attractions at night. Each day was filled with new shows and nightly fireworks set to original music written and recorded by Dolly.
An international perspective has always been important to Dolly and at Dollywood’s 2013 Festival of Nations, she was able to take guests on a trip around the world thanks to international shows, foods and crafts! Dolly delighted guests as she made surprise visits during the opening performances of the headlining shows, "Cirque Shanghai" and "Mystic India."
Dolly’s love for toe tappin’ bluegrass, savory southern barbeque and family togetherness made Dollywood’s Barbeque & Bluegrass a star-studded festival that is very close to Dolly’s heart. Growing up with bluegrass music instilled a love for the mountain music in Dolly which she has been able to share with everyone at Dollywood’s Barbeque & Bluegrass festival.
