The New Adventure at Dolly's Dixie Stampede Pigeon Forge opens to sold-out crowds

Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede in Pigeon Forge opened its 28th season with a New Adventure on February 13, 2015! With eager fans snapping up tickets to see the show, the dinner attraction added additional shows to its opening weekend schedule.

The $2.5 million renovation is the largest-ever since opening in 1988. It includes new music and special effects and features a 12.5 million LED bulb wall. However, at the heart of the show remains its talented cast and impressive stable of horses. Dixie Stampede Pigeon Forge is a fun-filled, action-packed extravaganza. In an interview with Mashable, director of marketing Woody Peek said,

"Our connection with Dolly and Dolly's music, along with the equestrian theme, has been our mainstay. That is not changing. Our show will still have the 32 (equestrian) stars of the show, and our riders will be performing."

New renderings revealed during the Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort construction tour feature the resort’s outdoor pool which fits right in with its already beautiful Smoky Mountains' surroundings. The nearly 4,000 square foot pool meanders through a lushly landscaped pool deck and provides families with a refreshing retreat.

In addition to the pool, there’s an interactive family splash pad for more water play. Details like the pool patio are not forgotten—while sunbathers can soak in rays, landscaping also provides shady spots throughout the area so the experience is enjoyable for everyone.

The construction tour participants were also among the first to see a sneak peek of some of the resort’s interior amenities in-the-works, including the indoor pool, grand lobby and guest rooms.
