Dolly Parton’s Threads: My Songs in Symphony is set for a multi-week limited series with the Nashville Symphony. The series begins June 16 and runs through July 31 at Nashville's Schermerhorn Symphony Center, with tickets on sale now.

In celebration, concertgoers will receive a swatch from the fabric of one of Dolly’s beloved dresses in line with the show’s theme of “threads.”

Exclusive Dolly merchandise will also be available via the Dolly Merch Trailer, located at One Symphony Place (only on certain days, to be confirmed).

Special Exhibits & VIP Experiences

A special exhibit, Dolly’s Hall of Fame Gallery, will also be open to concertgoers throughout the series. The gallery showcases a collection of Dolly’s gold and platinum album awards—a selection from her upcoming Life of Many Colors Museum—celebrating her remarkable career, enduring legacy, and status as one of the most honored and best-selling artists of all time.

New premium experiences and themed celebration packages—including options for girls’ nights out, bachelorette parties, and family outings—will be available on opening night and every Friday during the series. These elevated experiences include backstage tours, VIP lounge access, box seating, premium gift bags, and more.

Together, these offerings transform Threads from a concert into a uniquely Nashville destination event, giving fans new ways to celebrate Dolly’s music, story, and extraordinary career.

Dolly Parton’s Threads: My Songs in Symphony

Created and co-produced by Dolly Parton, Schirmer Theatrical and Sony Music Publishing, the innovative multimedia symphonic experience features Dolly’s songs and stories accompanied by original video content, with Dolly herself appearing on-screen to lead audiences through a visual-musical journey.

The 90-minute performance (with no intermission) features a cast of guest vocalists and musicians along with new and innovative orchestrations by David Hamilton. The performance includes hit songs “Jolene,” “Coat Of Many Colors” and “I Will Always Love You,” in addition to Dolly’s personal favorites.

Downtown Nashville will come alive in tribute to the legendary artist this summer, with Dolly’s exhibition at the Country Music Hall of Fame in addition to the limited series with the Nashville Symphony.

After a sold-out world premiere with the Nashville Symphony and this Music City summer series, Threads continues its successful performances in cities across the country with further stops in Spokane, Houston and Milwaukee.

The twenty-seven newly announced shows will feature twelve cities and will highlight partnerships with renowned orchestras across the U.S.

Following a highly acclaimed 2025 debut, music icon Dolly Parton is taking her multimedia symphonic experience, Threads: My Songs in Symphony, to new U.S. cities for the 2026 season. Developed in partnership with Schirmer Theatrical and SONY Music Publishing, this innovative concert series combines dazzling orchestral arrangements by David Hamilton, immersive visuals by Adam Grannick, and intimate storytelling, exploring Dolly’s songs, life, and stories in a full-evening symphonic journey.

Following its sold-out 2025 world premiere with the GRAMMY® Award-winning Nashville Symphony, Dolly Parton’s Threads: My Songs in Symphony has captivated audiences across the U.S. Since then, the multimedia symphonic experience has toured with performances featuring renowned orchestras, including the Cleveland Orchestra, San Francisco Symphony, National Symphony Orchestra, Columbus Symphony, Dallas Symphony, Indianapolis Symphony, and Oklahoma City Philharmonic.

From this symphonic foundation, Dolly Parton’s Threads: My Songs in Symphony brings Dolly’s music to life with a powerhouse ensemble of vocalists. Returning from the inaugural tour cast are vocalists Katelyn Drye, Hollie Hammel, Blair Lamb, and Julie Williams, plus musicians David Hamilton, Derek Drye, Lindsey Miller, Dean Berner, Gary Lunn, Chris Leidhecker, Ross McReynolds, and Luke Woodle. Joining for select 2026 dates are Katie Basden, Ally Jackson, Brian Fullen, Craig Nelson, and Duncan Mullins. Featuring stunning visuals and multimedia storytelling, the show combines Dolly’s newly orchestrated hits with her on-screen presence, guiding audiences through her extraordinary life in a fully immersive symphonic experience.

Dolly Parton announces the world premiere of her new symphonic concert, Dolly Parton's Threads: My Songs in Symphony with the Nashville Symphony will go on-sale November 1, 2024. Threads: My Songs in Symphony features Dolly’s songs and the stories behind them in an innovative multimedia symphonic experience featuring Dolly on screen, leading audiences in a visual-musical journey of her songs, her life and her stories. Accompanied by guest vocalists and musicians, Threads: My Songs in Symphony, features new and innovative orchestrations of Dolly’s hit songs woven together into a full-evening multimedia symphonic story-telling experience. 

"The threads of my life are woven together through my songs," Dolly says. "That's why this project, Threads: My Songs In Symphony, is so special to me. It's all about sharing my music and my musical journey with audiences in a new way. I'm really excited for fans to experience it for the first time with the Nashville Symphony!"

Threads: My Songs in Symphony will include Dolly’s beloved hits, spanning her career, including "Jolene", "Coat of Many Colors", and "I Will Always Love You", in addition to her personal favorites. The world premiere performance will take place on March 20, 2025, in Nashville with the GRAMMY® Award winning Nashville Symphony, led by Principal Pops Conductor Enrico Lopez-Yañez.
