On the subject of early influences, Dolly shared a story about how impressed she was watching some early performances by a family group known as The Maddox Brothers and Rose.

Kelsea managed to spark one of Dolly’s classy comebacks when she asked Dolly how she plays guitar with her long nails. Dolly responded,

“Pretty good.”

Dolly and RaeLynn get a little sassy but stay classy on Cracker Barrel’s Front Porch Series.

“A dream come true!” That’s how singer/songwriter RaeLynn described her afternoon with Dolly Parton on Cracker Barrel’s Front Porch Series.

Dolly and RaeLynn chatted about songwriting and onstage fashion while rocking in the iconic Cracker Barrel chairs. RaeLynn wanted to know if Dolly lounges around her home in sparkles and high heels. According to Dolly, the sparkles are optional, but the high heels are a must! The eight-time Grammy Award winner also told the budding artist how each of her big dreams “branch out” and grow new projects in her tree of life.

Dolly and RaeLynn were challenged to a game called “Classy or Sassy?” They confess how they would react in certain situations. Watch the video and see how classy or sassy Dolly and RaeLynn see themselves.

Dolly’s newest CD, “Pure & Simple” debuted at #1 on national country charts worldwide. A deluxe edition which includes a 48-page book of photos, memories and stories, as well as two bonus tracks, is available exclusively at Cracker Barrel.

Originally from Texas, RaeLynn is currently touring with Blake Shelton. A connection she made after joining Team Blake on “The Voice” back in 2012.

Dolly releases 43rd solo album, “Pure & Simple”

On August 19, 2016, Dolly Parton released her 43rd studio album, “Pure & Simple.” The project is a collection of love songs, which touch on what Dolly calls the “many colors of love.” In the title track, Dolly sings about a pure and simple love that’s comfortable and familiar. “Outside Your Door” has a passionate and intimate feel while “Head Over High Heels” is fun and flirty.

All songs were written by Dolly including “Pure & Simple” which sets the theme for the recording and the supporting tour visiting over 60 cities.
