Something new has arrived in the Smokies! The opening of Dolly Parton’s Lumberjack Adventure is one of Pigeon Forge’s most anticipated events of the year. After giving media outlets and fans a sneak peek at the opening number, Dolly Parton greeted everyone and officially opened her new Lumberjack Adventure Dinner and Show.
Aimed at providing the highest level of family entertainment, Dolly’s new Lumberjack Adventure features State of the Art Sound and lighting, Multi-Million dollar designed sets and unbelievable special effects. Dolly said,
“I can promise you’ve never seen another show like this in town before. I’ve truly enjoyed creating this Smoky Mountain story for families to enjoy while they are here in Pigeon Forge. There are completely new experiences for guests at this show and I can’t wait to hear what they think of the finished product.”
Dolly serves as Executive Producer of the new adventure and wrote the romantic song, “Something More,” which helps tell the story of this Smoky Mountain-themed adventure. During the show, guests will marvel at the skill of world-class entertainers who thrill audiences with daring feats of acrobatic ability both in the sky and on stage. Numerous other performers display their tremendous talents through ax juggling, speed climbing and an assortment of unbelievable acts.
In addition to the show, Dolly was eager to present the new menu. The Hearty Lumberjack Feast is big enough to satisfy the largest lumberjack appetite. The meal begins with creamy timber slaw and a buttery, homemade lumberjack biscuit followed by campfire fried chicken, smokehouse pulled pork, homestyle smashed taters, sawmill gravy and fried skillet corn. The meal concludes with Lumberjack Adventure’s own specialty dessert. Unlimited Pepsi, tea and coffee also are part of the meal. Dolly said,
“When we started this project, I knew it was important to create a true family adventure with an exciting show and wonderful new music. But with the success we’ve had at my Dixie Stampede, I knew it was equally important for us to make sure the meal tasted great and helped tell the story. Dinner really is a major part of the show at Lumberjack Adventure, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Sitting down together to eat with friends and family truly is one of the most important parts of the day.”
Lumberjack Adventure celebrates the spirit of the Appalachian people who lived off the land in logging and milling towns which dotted the map throughout the region. Guests will enjoy an exciting and imaginative adventure complete with a hearty lumberjack feast. The new show is sure to provide families with even more opportunities to make lasting memories when they visit the Great Smoky Mountains.
Dolly Parton’s Lumberjack Adventure is now open and accepting reservations online or by phone at 844-322-4400.
