Heartwarming Christmas Show Comes to Life at Dolly Parton’s Stampede this Holiday Season

The “high-spirited adventure” of Dolly Parton’s Stampede Dinner Attraction receives a festive twist for its 35 th holiday season with the magnificient sights and sounds of Christmas, including a full-scale living Nativity, holiday decorations, a new aerial performance, Santa Claus and a fabulous four-course yuletide feast. The Christmas show at “The Most Fun Place to Eat in the Smokies” debuts Nov. 2 and runs through Dec. 31.

“Christmas is a very special time of year at Dolly Parton’s Stampede,” said Travis Randall, General Manager of the Stampede in Pigeon Forge. “While our thrilling show provides fun for our guests, we also take time to celebrate the true meaning of the season, thanks to a full-scale, living Nativity that will transport guests back to that first Christmas so long ago. It’s special to our entire cast and staff when families share with us that this show has become a treasured part of their annual holiday traditions.”

New for “Christmas at Stampede” is a holiday twist on a thrilling performance segment that was added to the regular season show this summer – combining the show’s equestrian stars, breathtaking aerial acrobatics and original new music from Dolly herself.

Adults and children alike will enjoy “The Magic of Toys,” an amazing musical fantasy starring The Sugar Plum Fairy and a number of toys she magically brings to life in a musical celebration which includes a stunning aerial display set to the unforgettable music of The Nutcracker.

Guests will be awed by the birth of Jesus re-enacted with Mary, Joseph, the wise men and a living Nativity of camels, donkeys and sheep. This touching scene is a reminder of the importance of the Christmas season.

Stampede’s 32 magnificent horses, not to be confused with Santa’s reindeer, race in exciting competitions as audience members cheer their respective sides of the North Pole and South Pole on to victory. No Christmas is complete without an appearance by Santa, so after the arena is transformed into a winter wonderland of glistening, freshly fallen snow, Old Saint Nick arrives by sleigh to complete the festivities.

The entire Christmas experience is enhanced by the state-of-the-art, LED wall backdrop to the show’s 35,000-square-foot arena, which seamlessly complements the exciting action with stunning holiday scenery. Guests will feel as if they instantly have been transported deep in to the natural beauty of Christmas from the foothills surrounding the Great Smoky Mountains and to the clear skies above Bethlehem on the night of Jesus’ birth.

Christmas at Dolly Parton’s Stampede Offers Heartwarming Show Sure to Become Family Tradition

Christmas is about tradition and recapturing this magical time with family and friends. In this spirit, the world’s most visited dinner attraction is decking the halls and grooming the horses to celebrate this holiday season.

Opening October 27, “Christmas at Dolly Parton’s Stampede” in Branson transforms into a beautiful holiday spectacle including a full-scale living Nativity, holiday decor, seasonal music, a Santa Claus sighting and a fabulous four-course holiday feast.

“There is no better way to celebrate the holidays than bringing your family to Dolly Parton’s Stampede,” said Bryan Cossiboom, General Manager of the Stampede in Branson. “The sounds of the season and our talented cast make our show a place to make memories and enjoy this special time of year together. It also allows us to share and celebrate the holiday’s true meaning with a full-scale, living Nativity that will transport guests back to that first Christmas so long ago. We love hearing so many families tell us that this show has become a treasured part of their annual holiday traditions.”

The true meaning of the season comes alive right before guests’ eyes with the birth of Jesus portrayed in a living nativity with Mary, Joseph, the three wise men atop camels, and shepherds leading donkeys and their flock of sheep. This Christmas spectacular also features a seasonal twist with a friendly rivalry between the North and South Poles, equestrian feats, music and comedy. Families will enjoy the “Magic of Toys” musical production starring the Sugar Plum Fairy as she brings toys to life in a breathtaking aerial display set to “The Nutcracker Suite.” Of course, no Christmas is complete without an appearance by Santa.

Jolly Old St. Nick arrives in his sleigh as the Stampede’s arena is transformed into a winter wonderland of fresh fallen snow. The Christmas celebration is complemented by a four-course holiday feast featuring a whole rotisserie chicken, hickory-smoked barbecue pork loin, herb-basted potato, buttery corn on the cob, creamy vegetable soup, homemade biscuit, a special holiday dessert and unlimited Coca-Cola® products, tea or coffee.
